The New CFO Orientation is designed for new chief financial officers or general managers of electric cooperatives with no more than two years of experience in their current position. Invitees can also include those who hold the titles of "Directors of Finance" or "Controller."
Spouses/Family Members: Please note there are no activities planned for spouses or family members during the Orientation. Attendees will be involved with group activities the entire time, including evenings.
This orientation will familiarize new CFOs with the national associations and resources available to support them and their systems. Interactive sessions will provide a detailed overview of programs and services that help new CFOs successfully address cooperative finance, regulatory, tax and accounting issues affecting their jobs and the electric cooperative network. Sessions will be at hosted at the and CFC/NRTC campus in Herndon, Virginia, and the NRECA offices in Arlington.

CFC has obtained special room rates with the Embassy Suites Hotel, which is a short walk from the CFC headquarters and less than four miles—a six minute drive from Washington Dulles International Airport.
