Compass 3.0 Ready for Release

On November 30, CFC is rolling out an updated, enhanced version of Compass. The new Version 3.0 is free to CFC members and has several improvements that will make it easier to use, according to Claudia Phillips, Vice President, Program and Planning Analysis. “We believe users will find 3.0 more user friendly because it offers several great new features,” Phillips said.

New Features

• The user can export and import completed forecast results to/from Microsoft Excel.

• The new software creates a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation based on completed forecast results.

• The 3.0 version opens forecasts created in Version 2.0 (but not earlier versions).

• The new software contains a new loan repricing feature and updated CFC policies.

Download Compass 3.0

• Go to CFC Web site and logon to the secure Extranet site.
  
  
• After logging on, click on Compass and then click on Registration/Download from the pull-down menu.

Technical Support

• CFC will not provide technical support for Version 2.0 after 3.0 is available.
  
  
• CFC regional vice presidents will train members on Compass 3.0 and help cooperatives create financial forecasts.
  
  
• CFC will continue to provide Compass technical support for Version 3.0 through a Web-based question-and-answer posting system. Go to the Compass menu on the Extranet page and then click on “Technical Support.” You can also contact the CFC Compass Support Team by e-mail.
